THIS WEEK

APR 25 - WRITERS WORKSHOP (Tuesdays from 5-6:30 PM)

The Wayfarers Workshop for Writers, facilitated by Sam Renken, has a simple mission: to foster and provide consistent community for local writers. Meeting every Tuesday, the workshop will provide writers of all ages and genres the opportunity to write, read, revise, and present their work to the group.

YOGA POSTPONED

Sorry folks, Dana took a little spill and sprained her wrist so yoga will be postponed for a few weeks. Keep checking newsletter for new start date.

APR 30 - SUNDAY SERVICE (from 10-11 AM)

Marie Dunkle will be sharing her wonderful cello music and Kim May is our speaker. In her talk "Be the JOY!", Kim will be talking about walking our paths of least resistance - which happens to be our path of must fun, enthusiasm and ease - but what about those pesky potholes that may be tripping us up?!

After the service, stick around for refreshments and visiting with fellow Wayfarers.

MAY 7 - SWEET CHARITY - CONCERT ON DECK (from 2-4 PM)

Our 2023 concert season begins May 7th! Bring your favorite beverage and folding chair and join us on the chapel deck Sunday May 7th at 2 PM for Sweet Charity, a local favorite, as they play Top 10 rock & roll classics of the '60s and '70s to "get your happy on". The concert is free. Tips for the musicians are always welcome.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

WORKSHOP & FIREWALK - MAY 20

According to Tony Robbins, "Firewalking is the ultimate metaphor for working through life’s challenges and obstacles, our own fears and insecurities about them. Firewalking is a potent symbol of all that is possible when you take those first literal steps to a freer, more fulfilling future.

Rev. Dr. Kate Greysen will be offering a "Walk On Fire" workshop May 20th at 6 PM in Otto, NC. See the event flyer for full description and registration details.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS CLOTHING MINISTRY

Rabun county is expecting 160 migrant workers returning to help harvest crops in August 2023. The Rabun County School System will host a "Welcome to Rabun County" event the first Saturday in August. Several local and state organizations will be participating in this event providing essential items and information about services to support these migrant families, and First Impressions Clothing Ministry hopes to pass out two long sleeve T-shirts to every field worker to help protect their arms.
