IMPORTANT NOTICES

PLEASE READ this section

AND

the section on the website issues

Due to the increase in covid rates in Rabun and Macon counties - and in our membership - the Board has made two important changes affecting this Sunday.

NO POTLUCK THIS MONTH.

We hope to return to sharing good food and fellowship next month.

SILENT AUCTION & CLEANOUT OF ROSEMARY'S CHAPEL

SILENT AUCTION

The Silent Auction will be held INSIDE the main chapel. Smaller items and pictures of larger items will be placed on the counter prior to the service. If you arrive early, you are welcome to bid before service begins. To bid, simply write your name and bid on the appropriate sheet. You may up your bid at any time up to auction close.

  • 15 minutes after the end of service, the bidding will close and a Board member will collect the sheets and determine the winner.

  • Once you pay for your item (cash or check), it is yours to take home.

  • If the item you purchased cannot be moved due to weather or transportation issues, please work out details for pickup with a Board member.

BOOKS & RECORDINGS

This is your last opportunity to review the books and recordings for anything you would like to see stay with the chapel or go home with you.

  • Please review the collection prior to or in the 15 minutes after the service.

  • When the Silent Auction closes, please remove any books you have reserved for yourself on the corner bookshelves.

  • All other books will be donated or disposed of later in the week.

UGH OH!! WEBSITE PROBLEMS!

WEBSITE ISSUES

The world of technology allows us many wonderful things like the ability to communicate through the internet, but sometimes it has its limitations. Right now the only part of the website we can update is the calendar.

No updates to website means no new videos of Sunday messages and/or music, no new event notices, no newsletter updates . . . AND no way to fix the bad link to purchase tickets to Acoustic Eidolon!!!

Sooooo . . . If you wish to purchase tickets to Acoustic Eidolon, PLEASE use one of the links the section above (in this or any other newsletter) OR copy and paste this link into your browser:

https://tinyurl.com/AcousticEidolon

Please DO NOT send friends to the website for tickets! If you know someone who might be interested in tickets, please forward them a copy of your newsletter OR send them the tinyurl link above.

LAST CALL

SILENT AUCTION FURNITURE

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey.
Your sense of humor though, will only get better with age.
Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom.
Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection.
Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom.
Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants.
Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.
Don’t prioritise your looks my friend,
they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment.
Prioritise the uniqueness that makes you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit.
These are the things which will only get better."

-- Dame Judi Dench
