Ruth, here. The original newsletter that most of you have already read had the wrong information for the REIKI section. Correct info is in this version. There was also one other obvious error in the original newsletter and I am offering double hugs for anyone who names it when I see you on Sunday! | | The bylaws for Wayfarers Chapel state that we have a five-member Board of Directors who handle the day-to-day operations and make all decisions for the chapel. The Board is elected or affirmed by the "voting members". The only difference between being a "member of the heart" and a "voting member" is that voting members must provide their name and address before voting. If a Board member steps down before the end of their term, the current Board has the right to appoint a new member to complete that term. Because the Board member terms are staggered to ensure we always have some experienced members on the Board, we have an election or affirmation every year. If the number of volunteers exceeds the number of open positions, the Board makes their recommendation and the new members are determined by an election. Otherwise, we simply "affirm" the board's recommendation at the annual meeting. No election is required this year since we have one new volunteer, Charlotte Starfire, and one member stepping down, Maggie Renken. The 2025 Wayfarers Board of Directors -- Jennifer Utley, Keith Vickers, Marie Dunkle, Anne Hartupee, and Charlotte Starfire -- will be affirmed immediately following the service November 3rd at the Annual Meeting. | | You are invited for a special workshop with Kim May on October 27th from 11:30am-2pm in Rosemary’s Chapel.
