My name is Ray O'Brien and I am sending this email out to a number of Horse Racing Enthusiasts this evening as we are trying to source new members to join our Racing Club.
We have recently set up the club and have 35 paid members join in the past 2 weeks.
We plan to go to the Horses in training sales in September to buy runners for our club and then will be putting them in training with Philip Rothwell and John Andrew Kinsella.
PHILIP ROTHWELL- A well established trainer with great facilities and enjoying plenty of winners this season.
JOHN ANDREW KINSELLA- Used to work ride for Aidan O'Brien for 5 years then rode 2nd string to JJ Codd in Denis Murphy's yard.
After finishing his riding career John Andrew turned to training and worked for Philip Rothwell for a number of years until eventually took on his own yard and horses to train.
It is our belief that having horses in both of these yards will pay ten fold to the club in the coming season's as recently we have had a lot of success with information for both yards.
The racing club will be similar to a syndicate with the main difference being there is only an annual membership of €500 for equal shares in all horses.
There are no other costs on members.
All prize money will be divided evenly among members.
In full transparency, the annual membership will cover the following costs for the horse for one year:
Training fees
Work riders
Registration of the horse with HRI and colours
Farrier fees
Small vet fees
Transport
Gallop fees
Lease fees
Entry fees
Jockey fees
This is estimated to come to around 17-19k in total for the year.
So we would need between 35 - 40 members to enable us to race one horse for one year.
70-80 members two horses for one year,
105-120 members three horses for one year and so on.
Our intention is to grow this racing club in a few years however to keep it fun for the social side too.
A recap the racing club will include:
-Equal shares in horses amongst all members 🐎 🐎
-Stable visits and Race days badges - Draw Rota permitted depending on how many racecourse gives us (when we are permitted again to visit racecourses)
-Weekly updates from Trainer🐴
-WhatsApp & Email update of all entries and declarations.
-A shareholders whatsapp group which may include the odd tip 😉
- Daily selections and write ups ✍️
- Stable visit when permitted and hope annual social event post covid 19
