THIS FEBRUARY, WE'RE GOING TO SPREAD THE LOVE |
|
| As you know, we Walk for the Animals. Everything we do is always for the animals. Every dollar we raise for this event goes right back into our operating budget to cover the cost of care for every dog, cat, and pocket pet that makes its way into our shelter.
We simply cannot say this enough - your fundraising efforts are saving lives.
But, we understand that it may be hard to comprehend how the fundraising dollars are spent. That is why, this Valentine's season (if there is such a thing!), we are going to visually show the visitors of our shelter how your donation dollars are being used.
On February 1, we'll be starting a campaign we like to call "Support a Sweetheart." This heartfelt initiative will begin with the HSBC staff creating and launching Walk pages for 10 furry friends in our shelter. Each pet's individual Walk fundraising goals will correlate with its estimated cost of care during its time at the shelter - from approximately $150 for a healthy adult cat to over $800 for a dog diagnosed with heart worm disease.
For every $5 donors, like you, give towards their Walk pages, we'll post a Valentine heart on their cage in their honor.
It is our hope that this effort will help get these deserving pets into loving homes by Valentine's Day, but we also hope to show our community how much of an impact every cent of their donation has towards the lives of these wonderful animals.
We'll be posting regular updates on social media as well as on this dedicated webpage. Please, won't you help support this mini-campaign and help to spread the word? You'll be making a huge difference to these 10 dogs, cats, and rabbits.
