Change Your Life for the Better with a Slow Food Pleasure Diet
In a world of increasing speed, the idea of leisurely savoring a bite to eat can seem just plain crazy. But ancient wisdom, modern science and a grassroots movement have all come to the same conclusion: eating mindfully is good for us, and may have more advantages than previously thought. Researchers believe that increased chewing during a meal lowers food intake and can potentially be applied as a behavioral strategy for body-weight management. And when we add a degree of mindfulness, we are able to appreciate our meals more fully, in a way which connects us to everything.

Transcending Time in Egoless States of Consciousness
It’s extremely common for accidents and other moments of sudden shock to bring an extreme slowing down of time. The slowing down of time often occurs in emergency situations, and there are many reports of time slowing down massively during earthquakes, for example. Many professional sportspeople are familiar with these kinds of experiences too. States of deep meditation also bring a sense of timelessness. The key to these experiences is the ego – or rather, the absence of the ego. So, if time is created by the ego, can we free ourselves from time permanently by “undoing” the ego?

6 Evidence-Based Ways Drumming Heals Body, Mind and Soul
From slowing the decline in fatal brain disease, to generating a sense of oneness with one another and the universe, drumming’s physical and spiritual health benefits may be as old as time itself. Drumming is as fundamental a form of human expression as speaking, and likely emerged long before humans even developed the capability of using the lips, tongue and vocal organs as instruments of communication.

Fragmentation of the Psyche and the Nous
The subject of Dissociative Identity Disorder and the fracturing of the psyche is a complex topic; One that doesn’t seem to fit well in the dominant biological reductionism upon which mass science is built. Given the presupposition of modern science that the psyche is entirely equated with the brain itself, their assumptions are thus that any possible solution to mental problems of this nature can only be remedied or suppressed through the addition of, and rearrangement of, molecular compounds. This fact is seen most clearly in the pharmaceutical solution, which may provide temporary relief and the subduing of more manic tendencies, fails to address the spiritual dimension of humankind.

The Secret of Silence
The mystery of silence becomes interesting for us when we become spiritual seekers. From that time on, we start looking for the essence of life. We first look for the answer in the external world, for ideas and ideologies that might answer the questions that preoccupy us and cause that tormenting sense of want. After a lot of futile efforts we realize that no idea, ideology, teacher or master is able to provide us a satisfactory answer to those questions, and we then turn inward. Often the silence we find within gives us satisfaction and happiness. But is internal silence and temporary tranquility a part of our soul? Or the result of the suppression of thinking?

Judgement Isn’t The Problem – It’s Condemnation
Judgement' is considered to be an uncompassionate behaviour in our society, however what this is truly referring to is the condemnation of people or their particular behaviours and values, based on our assessment of them. Assessing the world around us is a perfectly natural aspect of being human, but ironically we never arrive at an absolute truth either; all we can do is create the best possible estimate of how we think and feel about whatever we are examining. So, depending on our approach, the process we undertake can either be healthy or unhealthy for everybody involved.

The ‘Missing Link’ – All Roads Lead To Love
Truth, or what is, did not leapfrog over everything and suddenly appear in us. Love did not simply leapfrog over all of life and land in us. Reality is inherent in who and what we are and is found in everything that is. There is never a moment when truth is absent here and now. Whatever reality is, it is with us this very moment and completely knowable to us. And with a nod to love, the truth is easy to spot.
