Subject: Your July News from VPOST: Conference Registration Now Open!

Join Us for Our Conference, Rise Up and Shine!

Drawing upon the national conference theme, from The National Afterschool Association (NAA), Rise Up, our 10th annual conference is themed Rise Up and Shine. It is a call to action for OST professionals to be seen and heard by the greater community. Our event aims to elevate and illuminate OST programs in Virginia by offering participants proven strategies and innovations in the field.

Rise Up and Shine will feature keynote speaker Chic Thompson. He inspires professionals and children to be “curious first… critical second” while engaging in creative problem solving. He is the founder of WagiLabs, a social innovation incubator for kids’ ideas. Chic is a two time author of books, What a Great Idea!  and Yes, But… . During the last 30 years, Chic has given over 4,500 presentations teaming up with Tony Robbins, Cirque du Soleil and Second City Improv.

Back by popular demand, all participants will receive our children's book bundle, estimated at over a $500.00 value!

In June VPOST traveled around the Commonwealth to host four local professional development days on Active and Engaged Learning.
