Our friends at VCU Mary Frances Youth Center have launched The Toolbox, a Youth Development Training Community

In response to a community-identified need for high-quality youth development workshops, the Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Community Engagement and Impact has launched professional development for youth-serving organizations in the Richmond area. Below is information for the first of many offerings:

Cultural Awareness
VCU School of Education, Office of Strategic Engagement
Tuesday, July 28 | 10 a.m. to Noon
Online Training

This training will provide a clear and consistent understanding of key concepts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion for practical and personal implementation, including implicit bias and microaggressions. Participants will initiate an action plan process to foster and sustain learned strategies to be implemented during OST opportunities and meet the needs of historically marginalized students of color.
