Urge your Senators to support the Summer for All Act!

Summer is a critical time for kids. Quality summer programs not only ensure kids are safe and supported but help them reset mentally, socially, and emotionally and prepare for success at school in the fall. But millions of kids and their families go left behind every summer. In 2023, 33% of kids from higher income families and a staggering 62% of kids from low income families did not participate in summer programs, often because these programs do not have enough slots or are cost prohibitive. Every child deserves access to a high quality, summer program.

The Summer for All Act, recently introduced by Senator Murphy (D-CT), would provide urgently needed federal support to ensure every kid has a fun fulfilling summer. Summer for All Act works by creating long-term, direct funding to summer programs to help kids and families access high-quality summer programs and activities.
