Subject: Unique ideas to celebrate Lights on Afterschool 2020! 💡

Starting in March when the pandemic hit, all time became out-of-school time. Afterschool programs quickly sprung into action to bring children virtual and in-person enrichment activities, meals, and emotional and basic-needs supports to families.

Lights On Afterschool was created 21 years ago to showcase their work. It's more important than ever that parents, families, and community members see and hear how afterschool has risen to meet this moment in time.

Traditionally, Lights on Afterschool events have been large gatherings. However, there are so many unique ways that you can show your support this year.

  • Light Up a Landmark: Large buildings that already light up such as skyscrapers, stadiums, and historic buildings are perfect, but libraries, parks and rec buildings, and more, are great too!

No matter your approach, register your program now! Programs that register by Sep. 24 will be entered to win a Lights On Afterschool swag pack, with 50 masks, window decals, and strobe buttons!
