Subject: Trump slashes Afterschool funding and more in your February VPOST News!

Stand up for afterschool! Released Monday, President Trump's proposed budget plan eliminates afterschool and summer learning programs for 1.7 million young people across the United States.

Tell your members of Congress to protect the programs America’s children and families rely on.

Policymakers in the House and Senate have the power to decide whether local afterschool and summer learning programs will remain open or close their doors. Your advocacy has saved 21st Century Community Learning Centers before: can we count on you again?

Tell Congress to protect afterschool programs.

VPOST tells VA legislators, "Support OST"!

This month VPOST staff visited the Virginia General Assembly to share educational materials that align with the current funding in the Governor's proposed 20-22 budget.

The budget is still in the legislative process. Review our infographic and make sure your reps hear from you on the value of out-of-school time programs in Virginia!
