Subject: Take Action! Families with School-Age Children Need Child Care

In a recent budget proposal, Governor Youngkin proposed to freeze school-age enrollment for the Child Care Subsidy Program starting in July 2025. This proposal would prevent many children ages 5-12 from accessing quality child care programs. School-age child care is an important support for working parents, who need a reliable and safe environment for their elementary school-aged children.
