Good Friday Afternoon from the Virginia Partnership For Out-Of-School Time (VPOST), We have been so fortunate to speak to and virtually meet with many people in the last few weeks learning about the resources available during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Thank you to all who are working with our youth during this unprecedented time. Youth development professionals are on the front lines providing quality care to the children of our essential employees in the Commonwealth. We commend you all! We've heard stories of tying ropes with knots 6 feet apart to properly distance our children while traveling within their programs, creating masks with smiles on them so the children can still see our smiling faces, leveraging partner spaces that are currently closed for larger facilities that allow proper distancing, and much more. The community spirit and love are surely showing in Virginia. We'd like to learn what you are doing to share Best Practices, as we all adapt to new circumstances. Please email us with your stories and new ways of quality care for the youth you are serving. We want to encourage everyone who works in this field to continue to do what you do best every day, and serve as a role model to young people by embracing facts and acting in concert with your partners on behalf of youth and their families across the Commonwealth.

We will continue to send updates regularly with more resources for helping you make program decisions for these unprecedented times. Please know we are here to support you during this time of uncertainty. Look for communication from us and please be in touch with questions we might be able to help you answer and solutions you have for us to share with others.
