About Our Conference
Our 10th annual conference is themed Rise Up and Shine and is a call to action for OST professionals to be seen and heard by the greater community. Our event aims to elevate and illuminate programs in Virginia by offering participants proven strategies and innovations in the field. Now at our decennial milestone and set against the historic backdrop of Williamsburg, Rise Up and Shine will be the most expansive, informative, and inspiring conference in VPOST history!
Rise Up and Shine will be held September 30, 2019 at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA.
About the Workshops
Do you have an area of expertise, a unique innovation or tried and true method that you want to share with the afterschool community? We are calling upon you to take advantage of this leadership opportunity. Present to over 200 active leaders in education and out-of-school time from across the Commonwealth, representing 190,000 youth from 130 communities.
All workshop presentations are 70 minutes in length and should have an
effective mix of information and group interaction and not be profit-promoting. Presentations should reflect the conference theme, strands, and VPOST Best Practices.
