We're now less than one month from Lights on Afterschool, taking place on October 28, 2021!

There are so many ways to celebrate Lights on Afterschool, but one of our favorites is using the day to amplify youth voice. Youth are key to community change. Shine a light on students in your community and invite them to take center stage and share what’s important to them.

The past year has seen a wave of youth and student activists who have taken the national stage by storm. Every day more young people are proving themselves to be persuasive spokespeople for what is important to them, including their afterschool programs. On Oct. 28, thousands of afterschool programs will rally for Lights On Afterschool to show the world what afterschool can do—make sure your students get their share of the spotlight!
