Subject: PD with Stipend and more Million Girls Monday News!

From June 26th-June 28th, VPOST participated in Girls Build Solutions™, a capacity-building institute celebrating and demonstrating how hands-on learning and the power of women and girls can unlock the creativity and innovation our world needs most. This high-energy national event brought together girls and leaders from all 50 states to change the narrative and elevate the potential of girls in STEM.

Highlights include hearing from women in leadership positions at NASA, remarks from US Deputy Secretary of Education, The Honorable Cindy Marten, and the 2023 Flight Crew, which is comprised of teen ambassadors from across the country. Virginia had two Flight Crew members. Medha, former VPOST Youth STEM Ambassador, who is from Loudon County, and Anna, from Charlottesville.

VPOST looks forward to bringing resources and strategies gained from the Girls Build Solution to our STEM initiative here in Virginia!

Techbridge Girls Community of Practice (with Stipend!) Opportunities

Techbridge Girls Equity and Inclusion Community of Practice: August 10th, September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, and December 14th

Techbridge Girls is excited to announce that applications are being accepted to join the Fall 2023 STEM Equity Learning Community. All out-of-school time (OST) supervisors and administrators for programs that serve Black, Indigenous, and Latina girls and gender-expansive youth are encouraged to apply. Techbridge Girls Curriculum Program with Training and Kits

Join us at an upcoming Techbridge Girls Information Session to learn more about our program offering for this Fall! Each of our services equips educators with gender- and culturally-responsive teaching tools and full program kitting materials to support youth persistence in STEM and expose girls to BIPOC peers and role models from STEM fields. Participation includes educator training, all materials, and a stipend.
