Today, we celebrate 23 years of Lights On Afterschool, the only nationwide celebration of afterschool programs. VPOST would like to thank all of the afterschool professionals that make programs possible and help kids thrive!

Virginia's afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn, and help working families. This year is especially poignant as we reflect on the important ways programs support students’ learning and well-being. Yet, for every child in a program, 4 more are waiting to get in. Virginia Governor Youngkin has declared this Lights On Afterschool day in the Commonwealth. Read the proclamation here.
