| April 22-26, 2019 is Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week!
From all of VPOST, we thank you for your tireless dedication, care, and hard work on the behalf of Virginia's youth! You inspire us!
It's not too late to show your appreciation for other professionals in the field. Some ideas include:
- Hand-written thank you notes or cards
- Messages of recognition to the staff member's manager or administrator
- Spread the word about Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week with parents and kids, encouraging them to join in. Social media is an excellent venue! Don't forget the #heartofafterschool
- Fun handmade signs put up at the location of your program
- Treats or small gifts
- For mangers and administrators, create awards for specific strengths of staff members (Best Family Communicator, STEM Star, Most Positive, etc.)
