Salsa Yoga Ropes Course Challenge Field Trips Art Projects
Summer Strong, Avalon Center's summer day camp, offers youth, age 9-17 years old, the opportunity to develop coping skills and build resilience by participating in group activities with peers designed to address the emotional needs of youth that witnessed or are victims of bullying or crime.
The one week camp will promote healthy coping skills, behaviors and safety. Campers will participate in fun, engaging and adventurous activities to build confidence! They will also develop emotional and physical safety plans and learn about youth advocacy.
Overview: - Camp Hours 10am-3pm/Location: William & Mary
- Week 1: July 9-13 (9-12 yo) OR Week 2: July 23-27 (13-17 yo)
- Field trips & Crafts
- Lunch, String Bags & Camper T-Shirt Provided
- On Site Youth Advocates and Counselors
- *Limited Transportation
- Cost: FREE
- OPEN to residents of Williamsburg, James City, King William, King and Queen, New Kent, Gloucester, York, and Charles City and Matthews Counties
*Specific localities: Drop off and pick up at designated locations. Space is limited.
