Our budget amendment for $5 million for afterschool funding is still alive! The General Assembly and Governor Youngkin agreed to come back to the table and try to find a compromise on the budget. This is our last shot to make sure our funding is included. 

We need your help again in advocating for these programs and letting legislators know how important and urgently needed this funding is to school-age children and their families in Virginia. The General Assembly will reconvene May 13th-15th for a special session dedicated to the budget. It is critical that your legislators hear from you ASAP that this funding needs to be included in the compromise budget. Please take a few minutes to e-mail both your Delegate and Senator and ask them to support this funding, as they did before in March.
