We need your help advocating for afterschool programs! Budget conferees will soon decide what to include in the final budget the legislature will pass. Our funding was included in the Senate budget, but not the House budget. Therefore, it is critical you message your Delegate and ask them to support our funding in the final budget.
The Senate proposed a $5 million statewide investment over the biennium in programs through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. This funding is urgently needed to allow the continuation of newly-established programs in 2022 that are currently serving over 750 kids. Please take a few minutes to e-mail your Delegate and ask them to support this funding initiative.
