Free STEM Coaching with Stipend for VA OST Educators

VPOST is proud to partner with ACRES (Afterschool Coaching for Reflective Educators in STEM) to create a special virtual coaching cohort and we want you to join! Over a series of five, live sessions, cohort community members will come together to dive into the skill of Asking Purposeful Questions and Modeling the Engineering Practices. These deep dives will be followed by practical application in your program and coaching, all with connection and reflection at the foundation. Our questions create a path towards discovery, imagination, and STEM exploration.

This opportunity is free and comes with a $100 Stipend! We have two time slots to work with your schedule, a lunchtime block, and an evening block. Learn the full details, including where to sign up, by clicking the buttons below.

Our friends at WagiLabs are offering a 2-hour course covering the basics of the WagiLabs curriculum, providing professional development for elementary educators to create young, socially responsible, Kidpreneurs. The Kidpreneurs use design thinking to brainstorm “Ideas for Good” that creatively solve problems in their communities. Learn about the Wagiways and how this free resource could be used in an afterschool setting or in your classroom. Participating educators will be eligible for a $50 stipend and will receive materials to aid in the implementation of the curriculum.
