Yesterday, we discovered that one of our SMART Multiple Pathways Partners had sent unsolicited promotional emails to a number of our volunteers. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.

This was not an authorized communication. The company acquired the email addresses by scraping publicly accessible SMARTfinder meeting listings. At no time did SMART provide them with contact information.

We are currently in discussions with the involved partner and are actively seeking methods to prevent such conduct in the future by any of our partners.

Please be assured that all official communications from SMART Recovery will always be sent directly from us. We do not share facilitator contact details, nor do we permit other organizations to send emails directly to our volunteers.
