I’d like to inform the SMART Recovery Community that our executive director, Mark Ruth, is taking a temporary medical leave of absence. He underwent a scheduled procedure of a preventive nature. I’m pleased to report that he’s recovering well, and will resume working full time in about a month.

In the meantime, Christi Alicea will continue to oversee national office operations with help from our terrific staff. Where needed, I will provide oversight with support from our executive committee and board.
