Subject: Fletcher Group Growth Creates Opportunities for SMART Recovery Volunteers!

Learn how you can be part of the initiative to help those in recovery

Dear SMART Volunteer,

Nearly a year ago, SMART Recovery formed a partnership with The Fletcher Group enabling us to increase our footprint in rural communities. Because of this partnership, recovery homes across the United States see how valuable SMART is for their residents and want to make it available to them. We have over a dozen new recovery homes planning to launch meetings in the next six weeks and we need facilitators* to help meet the demand!

It comes down to helping others who need us. You probably already know that helping others benefits the helper too. This is an opportunity for a win-win-win: recovery home residents, SMART, and you. Your experience as a facilitator is highly valued and makes a difference in so many lives!

Here are a few things to know about the program:

  • The Successful Life Skills curriculum is covered over twelve sessions, generally held weekly, at recovery homes across the United States.

  • SMART Recovery volunteers facilitate the first 12 sessions. During this time the recovery home will train one or more staff members to continue offering the program.

  • In most homes, we are running the meetings remotely via Zoom, though we can offer in-person meetings where we have an interested facilitator near the site.

  • No previous experience with the Successful Life Skills book is required, only completion of SMART Recovery facilitator training.

  • When you sign up, we will send you an SLS book and invite you to an orientation session.

If you’re interested in signing up or would just like to learn more about the initiative, please contact Project Coordinator Brad Glaser, at: bglaser@smartrecovery.org.

With Appreciation,

Melina Gilbert
