Part 2 – Herbs, Oils & Homeopathic Remedies, What You Need To Know!
Dear Friend,

Here's the 2nd part of our Everything Natural series, additional information about our favorite natural products!

As a rule, few medical problems occur from ingesting herbal remedies, but the potential for an allergic or toxic response is always there.

IMPORTANT: If you are now taking any drugs, or have any medical problems, it’s wise to consult a nutritionally-oriented physician who is aware of herb-drug interactions, as well as any potentially dangerous side effects.

TEA TREE OIL - has antifungal properties  and maybe helpful as a body wash in fending off methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), common in facilities where patients often have compromised immune systems. Additionally, it has been shown to help in the treatment of candida, athlete's foot, some vaginal bacterial infections, and, as an oral antiseptic rinse, it can aid in the treatment of strep throat.

CAUTION: Skin products containing tea tree oil may dry the skin and worsen dryness caused by treatments such as Retin-A, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or Accutane taken by mouth.

PASSIONFLOWER - one of the nature's best tranquilizers. it relieves muscle tension and spasms, as well as other manifestations of extreme anxiety. Passionflower is especially good for nervous insomnia, the kind that keeps you lying awake in bed worrying throughout the night.

CAUTION: This herb may cause sleepiness in some people and should not be used before driving or operating machinery. It may also enhance the effects of alcohol, as well as anti-anxiety medications, barbiturates, and antidepressants, necessitating a change in dosage for those medications.

SAW PALMETTO - helpful in the treatment of chronic cystitis and in the prevention of genitourinary tract infections in men and women. It has shown to be quite effective in treating benign prostate enlargement.

CAUTION: Men experiencing pain or swelling of the prostate, or who is having difficulty in urination, or passing blood in the urine, should be examined by his physician.

Getting things the natural way is always best but having more information about it is one step closer to a healthier body!
