Subject: Day 9: A flat, f minor, 3rds and 4th position!

Let's focus today simply on the highest position :)

Hello Friend

Day 9 - @everyone Let's practice A flat and F minor

Day 9 - Let's practice A flat and F minor 😉

Quick overview of what you will be practicing this week:

Key of the week: A flat major / f minor, 3 octaves, and corresponding major and minor pentatonic scales

Interval of the week: 3rds

Positions of the week: 3rd and 6th (and half positions)

Single or double stops: Alternating daily

The technical aspect or awareness: Bow speed and distribution

Today Hyper-Focus on the following:

  1. This week we START FROM THE HIGHEST POSITION SHIFTING DOWN and only play today that fragment.

  2. Play whole bows (tip to frog always) for each note on this review round. This is super important to make this count and set you up for the full week.

  3. Memorize fingerings

  4. Memorize shifts

  5. Memorize your bow speed. This is important for the rest of the challenge.

  6. Play with full tone and intonation.

  7. Suggested practice 5 to 7 minutes just on this section, to set you up for the rest of the week.

Remember to Hyper-focus on this.

Make it count!
