Subject: Day 7 and 8 - Integrate and Improvise!

Hello Friend

Day 8 is here!

(We took a little catch up brake for day 7 😀)

Improvisation and Integration Exercise

Refresh your memory by reviewing any of the scales and arpeggios we used this week. A great example to start with is the minor pentatonic scale. Take a quick look and review it below. Once familiar with this one, substitute it for any of the other materials we practiced this week: G Major Scale, G pentatonic, arpeggios, or 6ths.

Now that you have reviewed the scale, memorize some of the notes and apply them to the suggested rhythm below. Try playing with any of the different tracks (scroll down to find them)

  1. Always keep the same rhythm

  2. Substitute the rhythm with notes from only the minor pentatonic scale or any of the scales we saw this week: G Major Scale, G pentatonic, arpeggios, or 6ths.

  3. Experiment with any combination of the above with all the tracks below.

  4. Create your own rhythms to use with these tracks. Have fun!

Never. Stop. Playing!

Marlene
