Here's a warm welcome to the new subscribers to the Healing Your Animal community and a heart-felt connection to existing subscribers.

We are in the holiday season. 

Last night in my animal communication class, we asked our pets what they like about the holidays. It was fun to hear it straight from them.  Here are some of the answers:

Dogs: 

Hattie loves being in the middle of the activities and especially loves being in the kitchen where the food is being cooked hoping for a bite.

Min loves sniffing the Christmas tree and presents and being in the middle of things.

Kenji loves opening gifts, ripping up the boxes with treats in there and happy being in the middle of the fun.

Kaia loves the treats. She doesn't like opening the gifts. 

Parker likes when people come over.

Luna doesn't like when people come over. She gets skittish and nervous.

My cats:
Spirit doesn't like me leaving to see my family for a week. He doesn't like me even leaving for a few hours. He likes it when I'm home. Lucky for him, I'll be home this year.

Sapphire loves relaxing and getting food whether I'm home or not. She does like it when I'm home.

Listen to Your Pet
  • If your pet likes to be in the middle of company, let them if they are good with the guests. If they jump all over the guests, keep your guests comfortable and put them in a place where they can see the festivities, still being a part of them just not able to jump on the guests and give them a toy to keep them having fun.
  • If your pet doesn't like it when guests come over, have a safe, quiet, comfortable place for them to be while the party is happening.
  • If your pet doesn't like you leaving them when you go out, put one of your dirty shirts, socks, or a piece of clothing that has your scent on it to keep them comforted while you are gone.
  • If your pet doesn't like to travel, you can put a red towel over their carrier to help block out noisy airport or other environment noises.

There are foods toxic to your pet.  Do not let your pet(s) get into chocolate, candy, or other toxic items.
