Here's a warm welcome to the new subscribers to the Healing Your Animal community and a heart-felt connection to existing subscribers.
Saturday, I celebrated my birthday with a solo hike at St. Edwards State Park and then Miranda and I spent the day together playing games, going out to eat, and watching a fun show. It was a very nice day.
On my birthday, I reflect about my purpose. And I know my soul's purpose is helping you and your pet(s) live your best lives together. I am grateful for being a part of your pet's wellness care team. |

Having plants and pets, it's good to be knowledgeable about what plants are toxic and what plants are safe for them.
The Majestic Palm you see in the photo was a gift. I share a fun story about it along with plant safety for pets in my TikTok video, click the link to watch and listen:
According to VCA, here are the top 10 common household plants that are toxic to your cats and dogs: - Lillies
- Philodendron, Snake Plant, Pothos (devil's ivy)
- Oleander
- Aloe
- Chrysanthemum
- Hyacinth
- Jade
- Sago palm
- Daffodil
- Asparagus Fern (also known as foxtail fern or emerald fern)
ASPCA poison control Hotline: 888-426-4435 is your best resource for any animal poison related emergency.
According to bechewy, here are 9 common household plants that purify air and are safe for your cats and dogs:
- Bamoo Palm (also known as Parlor Palm)
- Spider Plant
- Prayer Plant
- Boston Fern
- Areca Palm
- Money Tree
- Gerbera Daisies
- Orchids
- Many different succulents (not all)
For a more thorough list, do your research. Google has a lot of information on plants that are toxic and plants that are safe for your pets. When in doubt, check the list first before bringing the new plant into your home or yard.
