On my morning walk, I saw these women in the photo doing yoga on boards in the water. My first thought was, wow, I would love to do that. I love the water and yoga and putting them together would be awesome. It is fun seeing new things and great new possibilities in life. Now, reality of preparing to be able to balance like that… something to aspire to. :-)
The summer is full of activity for a lot of people I have talked to including myself. Are you one that is having changes?
I moved into a new place last week. I am so excited for this change and it has been fun getting settled. Even though I am still looking at some boxes at the moment, it feels like home. I am celebrating this has been the smoothest move I have ever had.
Moving comes in a lot of forms. Do you have a new cat or dog that has come into your household recently? Has your cat or dog made a move in with you? This is a change in surroundings for your new four-legged furry friend and if you have an existing cat and dog, they all are going through this new change.
It can sound fun bringing a new cat and dog into your home. It can flow smoothly and everyone immediately get along.
And then there is reality where it doesn’t flow as smoothly, you are stressed saying “what was I thinking?”, feeling guilty that your existing loving animal family member is upset, not eating, acting up, and your new loving animal family member is not easily settling in hissing or whining a lot.

You have been hearing about Guido recently with his allergies getting better and having a good time while his “Mom” travels and leaves him behind and they have an easy, harmonious, heart-warming reunion on her return. So…

Now, Guido has a new cat family member, Rocco.
Rocco is a rescued 11 year old cat who had a pretty rough time before being rescued. He scored with his new loving home where he will be given very good care and live a life as close to heaven on earth as possible.
Guido is a 157 pound bundle of love and all he wanted to do was be friends with Rocco as soon as Rocco arrived. Well, this was not the same vision with Rocco. He would hiss at Guido and not want anything to do with him.
In our session, Rocco actually chose his new name and loves it. Rocco and I had a conversation and Guido and I had a conversation. I helped them each understand each other. With this understanding, Rocco went over and walked by Guido getting the closest he ever had to Guido (2 “ from him). His “mom” and I were so thrilled at the immediate change. Rocco was so confident that he did it again while we watched in awe. Guido was happy, because he so desperately desired to be friends with Rocco and this opened the door for a new relationship between them.
