I hope this finds you well and enjoying your summer with your 2- and 4-legged family members.

I have exciting news. I have just entered the editing phase for my 3rd book arriving in Fall 2022: "Healthy, Free, and Harmonious: Balancing Your Pet's Chakras"

What are Chakras?

The chakras are an ancient energy system that originated in India. They were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient sacred texts of spiritual knowledge that are the first texts of Hinduism dating from 1500 to 1000 BC.

There are 7 main Chakras (energy wheels) in your body that impact your health and behavior.

According to Deepak Chopra, each of the seven main chakras contains bundles of nerves and major organs as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. Since everything is moving, it’s essential that our seven main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If there is a blockage, energy cannot flow.

Keeping a chakra open is a bit more of a challenge, but not so difficult when you have awareness. Since the mind, body, soul, and spirit are intimately connected, awareness of an imbalance in one area will help bring the others back into balance.

Do pets have chakras?

Yes! Pets have 7 main Chakras (energy wheels) in their body that impact their health and behavior similar to humans.

Chakra Practice for You:
Chakra 1: Root Chakra is the best place to start.

Balancing Chakra 1 helps calm your pet, helps your pet feel safe and settled in his/her environment.

It's important that before you work on your pet, you must be in a calm, settled place.

Take a moment for yourself to center with 3 deep breaths slowly in and out before doing this chakra exercise with your pet.

Place your hand on your pet's low back at the base of the tail. For more calming have your other hand touching your pet near the Root Chakra. In this photo, you'll see I am touching Gracie's hind paw with my other hand. This helps with grounding and balancing the Root Chakra.

Hold this for 10-20 seconds (or longer if you pet is enjoying it).  The more you do this (daily), the calmer your pet will be.
