Healing Your Animal Connection |
|
Hi Friend,
Healing Vibrations to You and Your Animals!
|
|
|
What are you celebrating today? I celebrated my birthday last week and had a wonderful birthday weekend. I am so grateful for all the heartfelt birthday wishes I received. My favorite gift was from my daughter, Miranda, who made a ceramic cup and saucer for me that she put a lot of love and effort into. I enjoyed a nice cup of Fran’s hot chocolate (a special Seattle chocolate delight) in my new mug. What you cannot see is there is a green heart in the center of the mug when it is empty. So fun to uncover.
Summer is almost here. Summer means more outside activities for people and pets, and our animals are probably playing more enthusiastically.
Just like people, animals are at risk to injuring themselves when they play harder than usual. Their back, neck, knees and feet are all vulnerable to twists and strains that can cause pain and mobility issues. Do you think your cat or dog might have neck issues? Here are some possible warning signs:
· Is your pet having trouble turning or moving their in one direction or another? · Does the way they turn their head when playing or chasing a ball look odd or different from normal? · Is your pet scratching their head a lot? · Does your pet hang his or her head low while walking?
If any of these sounds familiar, you will want to check out the connection exercise below. After you try the exercise, please get in touch with me for a complementary Assessment conversation if you would like to explore the situation further. |

When your animal’s body is in alignment and muscles are flexible and in shape, your animal moves with ease and feels good. It’s easy to give your pet a soothing neck massage by doing what I call a “horseshoe” stroke. Watch the short video below to learn how to do it. The neck (cervical) vertebrae are deep below the surface, so you don’t have to worry about massaging over the spine for this area of the neck.
I invite you to do this with your pet 2-3 times a week for a month and see what shifts in your animal’s movement. If you live in the Seattle area and would like more hands-on experiential learning, I invite you to my upcoming Basic Animal Massage Class in July. See below for in Learning Opportunities for details. |

Remember the importance of neck massage for your pet. Today: When you want to massage your cat or dog’s neck, you can do so with a horseshoe stroke over the neck. The neck (cervical) vertebrae are deep, so you don’t have to worry about massaging over the spine for this area. Click link below to see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nbo0RY05nMQ
