It was nice chatting with you the other day. I wanted to let you know that I was able to find a creative commons video related to the telecom industry. I added in a few personalized elements and links to show you what we could do regarding videos.

Image personalization was not added because emails do not have image data to pull from, however, IMAGE personalization CAN be added for social media videos. We can also use personalization tokens for GEOCITY, GEOSTATE, GEOCOUNTRY, EMAIL ADDRESS, and GENDER.

I was told that "email clients that video can be played inside of email ...Outlook 2011 and 2013 for Mac OS, and Apple Mail (viewed on MacBook and iPhone 7, 8, X.) There is an update in progress for adding additional email clients." I'm unable to test this for myself as I don't use Outlook and don't own any Apple products.

From someone else, I was told that "usually videos won't play inside emails because most email clients strip out iframe tags due to security reasons, before sending the email."

It's been recommended, for now, just to use an image (with a play button) in an email and hyperlink it to view the video. I have done that with this video.

Here are the elements that I used:

1 - FIRST NAME personalization (at beginning of the video)
2 - LINK to the Company's PODCASTS (little white arrow at 'Podcast')
3 - LINK to Company's LINKEDIN BUSINESS PAGE (on Linkedin icon/button)
4 - LINK to Company's WEBSITE (arrow at end of company's URL)

So for now, it looks like we should keep using links and hyperlinked images (w/ play buttons) in our emails. I will let you know when I hear of any updates.
