Hello Friend,

A cheery Friday to you and ALL your furry creatures :-)

Today's article covers a novel new way to treat cancer - it may be on interest to you and an option for some pet owners.

Ideally you are doing what you can to prevent cancer in the 1st place.

Unfortunately there is no 'magic bullet', but I personally think that supporting your dog or cat with nutrition is one of the keys. You can feed an array of  quality proteins, veggies, fruits, essential fatty acids, additional immune boosting nutrients ( ie probiotics, colostrum, curcumin..) OR consider this:

I am getting some great feedback about my supplements for dogs and cats!

They are designed to help support your pets overall immune system..a TONNE of great ingredients, that even I should be taking more often :-)

VetiVax, a company exploring immunotherapeutics for cancer, has developed a process that uses a portion of a veterinary patient’s own tumor to create series of vaccines.

After a portion of the tumor is surgically excised at the veterinary clinic, the tissue is processed at VetiVax laboratories to create a multidose treatment administered subcutaneously once per week for three weeks.

The deactivated tumor cells activate TH1 immunity in the patient, allowing release of the “killer cells” that attack the tumor, says Torigen CEO Ashley Kalinauskas.

In its testing, VetiVax has treated more than 300 animals with different types of cancer in veterinary clinics across the U.S., with 70 percent of those patients exceeding their prognosis by an average of 2.14 times, Kalinauskas says.

P.S. This is just one other option for YOU and your veterinarian to be aware of. I would have considered it for my last dog Lewis who had this serious mouth cancer that spread to the back of his eye.
