The FDA claims that 1300 dogs developed a type of Heart Disease called Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) linked to diet, but has since STOPPED reporting cases. 

Veterinary cardiologists are still seeing cases, and a recent University study showed concern about one particular ingredient.

The FDA reported that this was linked to 'Grain Free' Dog Food, primarily those containing, peas and other legumes...

Since this initial report, more dogs have tested positive, but the 'link' between diet/dog food has not really been clarified.

And in fact some are claiming it's not such a concern.
