Hello Friend, a Good morning to you and your furry friends this Friday..
Today ( or rather last night), was the BIG overblown Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Yes he is heir to the crown, but I don't really get WHY there is soooooo much interest in the two of them being married.
And I am a Canadian who grew up singing in school 'God Save Our Queen'
Regardless the powers that be in the world of news/entertainment have decided that it is mightily important, so it is....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prince William" and "Kate" emerge as popular pet names. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is an article from ZooToo:
Royal fans around the world are preparing to watch the wedding of England's Prince William and Kate Middleton this Friday. But pet owners have been celebrating the couple for quite some time.
No, we're not talking about baking pet-friendly wedding treats or bringing their four-legged family to London to see the royal procession. Instead, dog and cat owners are honoring the couple by increasingly bestowing the names Prince William and Kate/Catherine upon their pets.
Among cat owners, the prince has gained particular popularity: the rate of cats named Prince William has more than doubled since 2009.
According to Banfield Pet Hospital, the largest veterinarian practice in the world, seeing more than 5 million pets each year, if the trend of naming cats William continues, there will be a nearly 70 percent increase in the number of cats bearing the royal name in 2011.
However, dog owners seem to be more smitten with William's bride-to-be. Banfield Pet Hospital found the names Kate and Catherine to be more popular for dogs than Will or William -- and the rate of dogs sharing the same first name as Miss Middleton has risen sharply in 2011.
The trend of naming pets after royals should come as no surprise -- after all, our four-legged friends are treated like kings and queens!

P.S. I must admit there are times when it seems I am treating my pet like 'royalty'
BUT this is more practical.....
Like new beds so they are more comfortable.
Or better tasting 'healthier' treats.
Special one on one time with them..
Play dates for Lewis
Catnip for Cleo and Gussie
Massage, Reiki, Acupressure for Jessie, Lewis, Gussie and Cleo
( yikes...the list is even bigger!!)
And these especially great quality supplements.
