Yesterday I published an article on cognitive dysfunction, known as 'pet alzheimer's'
You can still read it on my blog
http://www.theinternetpetvet.com
This is one important point you should NOT miss:
CHRONIC INFLAMMATION
New research in people has shown a strong link between chronic inflammation, and degenerative brain disorders, such as cognitive dysfunction. Researchers are implicating diets high in grains, along with repeated vaccines as potential underlying causes. The active ingredient in the spice turmeric is curcumin, and this is shown to be effective in people with alzheimers. The animal 95% curcuminoid dose is 100mg per 10lbs daily.
This has direct implications for ourselves, and our pets.
Put less inflammatory ingredients in both human and animal bodies- as in LESS wheat. There is a very detailed write up about this in the book by Dr David Perlmutter, 'Grain Brain'
That you can potentially prevent and treat this with an incredibly safe nutrient, curcumin.
Food for thought.
Have a safe weekend, and do some good.
Consider volunteering at an animal shelter.
