For those of you who are new to my newsletter, I have a long story leading to my resignation from the College of Veterinarians of BC.

I long time former client approached me while we were pumping gas, and was just super supportive and encouraging.

I have had people I have never met be very encouraging- while playing hockey, getting groceries, or just walking my dogs around town.

What am I doing now?

Finishing a book on what happened, along with a hard copy version 'Dr Jones' Book of Home Remedies'

Researching and writing much more in the past- I am staying current with what is happening in small animal veterinary medicine, and constantly looking out for new treatments.

Spending much more time with my family- definitely more domesticated :-)

And volunteering in the community- both of my children are on the ski team, and my son was fortunate to be selected to attend the BC Winter Games ( where I am now writing from! )

I'll be out volunteering on the race course while he and 180 other rippers fly by.

Last night at the opening ceremony the Premier of British Columbia spoke, leaving some strong words of wisdom for all of us.

Yes the Games are about sport, and excellence, but it also about much more.

Such as stepping up, becoming a leader, overcoming adversity, not only winning in sport, but being an example.

Great life lessons that we can all aspire to.
