--------------------------- My Dental Saga ---------------------------
Waking up with a painful tooth is not fun.
But when it goes on for 2 weeks, a person ( as in me ) tends to lose their humor..
Here's the story:
Broken teeth....repaired by dentist
Very sore, and throbbing at night
Dentist suspects root infection/pulp infection
Antibiotics.
Slight improvement..but not really getting better
Dentist performs some type of dental torture to determine which tooth has the root infection, then puts in more needles, and does a root canal.
The next day, the patient (and writer), is much happier..
NO dental pain :-)
But wait.
A slight twinge on Sunday
The inside of my cheek is swollen
AAAGH
More antibiotics, and now another appointment today
-------------------------- My lessons --------------------------
If it ain't broke, DON'T fix it
There is some truth to this moto...it was one of my farmer Dad's favorite sayings.
But in reference to 'conventional' medicine
As soon as you do an 'intervention'..as in repairing a broken tooth which is causing no discomfort, then you can have complications.
And so on
It happened to me in practice
I encourage you to really question your health care providers, including your veterinarian.
IS it necessary?
IF your dog/cat is healthy and happy, then it probably isn't necessary.
In hindsight, I would have left my own teeth alone..
P.S. The upcoming cat health webinar will be covering dental care, specifically holistic options for gingivitis.
And as a BONUS for signing up, you'll get a copy of my Special Report: Foods and Plants HAZARDOUS to your cat.

P.P.S. Here is what I have started on Homeopathically- also good for dog and cat abscesses as well
Hepar Sulph 30C- 3 tabs every 4 hours ( for abscess)
Arnica 30 C- 3 tabs every 4 hours ( for pain, inflammation)
