Hello and Good Morning to you this Monday...

This 'new' world of holistic dog and cat healing
can seem a little overwhelming. From figuring out
what is wrong with your pet, HOW to treat them,
WHAT to feed, Preventing disease in the first place,
utilizing all the potential natural remedies, including
WHERE to get them.

It is probably easier to go on the hope method-

Such as just closing your eyes and ears and HOPING
that nothing goes wrong.

Unfortunately, as you and I both know, sometimes
things go wrong, - our pets do get sick.

But there are MANY things that you can be doing
right now to both prevent, and naturally treat these
illnesses.

I suggest that you start with my Digital Book,
Veterinary Secrets Revealed.

You can grab it here:

Cosmetic Surgery Ban
------------------------------------------

Recently my National Veterinary Association has moved
forward in banning cosmetic surgery.

But NOT all are in favor, specifically breeders
of dogs which ear crop and tail dock..

Here is the CVMA position:

Cosmetic Surgery

Position

"The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) opposes surgical
alteration of any animal, for purely cosmetic purposes."

Background

The CVMA believes that cosmetic surgery is unnecessary. Surgical alterations
in cases of injury or for reasons of health are not considered cosmetic.
Examples of cosmetic procedures include:

.Tail docking in the equine, bovine, or canine species;

.Tail nicking/setting in the equine species;

.Ear cropping in canine species;

.Onychectomy ( De-clawing) in species other than the domestic cat.

The CVMA recommends that breed associations change their breed standards so
that cosmetic procedures are not required.

This has now officially been adopted in 3 provinces,

On April 01, 2010, the CVMA successfully banned Docking Cropping and Dew
Claw removal in New Brunswick, P.E.I. and in Nova Scotia.

There is a petition online at:

ation-in-furthering-the-dockcropdew-claw-removal-ban/

We would like you to help in reserving the right to preserve our historic
heritage in canine breeds that either requires docking, cropping or dew claw
removal as a part of their standards or function. Also in keeping our rights
as individuals to have these procedures done by a Certified Veterinarian in
safe, sanitary conditions, as well as the rights of the individual Vets that
wish to continue to offer these services.
We the undersigned are outraged by the actions of the Canadian Veterinarian
Medical Association in removing our human rights and freedom of choice.
Docking, cropping & dewclaw removal is good husbandry! (Care, welfare and
safety for their chosen Breed.)

The dock/crop/dew claw veterinarian ban is a misplaced act of animal
welfare. Docking, cropping and dew claw removal are in the best welfare
interests of the breed concerned.

We need help in keeping our rights as individuals to have these procedures
done by a Certified Veterinarian in safe, sanitary conditions, as well as
the rights of the individual Vets that wish to continue to offer these
services.

We the undersigned are outraged by the actions of the Canadian Veterinarian
Medical Association in removing our human rights and freedom of choice.

safety for their chosen Breed.)

//////////////////////////////////////////////////

P.S. I do NOT perform cosmetic surgery at my
clinic.

NO tail docking, ear cropping or cosmetic de-clawing ( including cats)

This is COMPLETELY unethical, I am glad that the
certain Veterinary Associations are taking a stand.

What do you think?

If these so called 'concerned' breeders really
had the animals best interests at heart, they
would STOP having cosmetic surgery on their animals

How about adding in some steep fines, and the
threat of jail for those who still do this.

This further reinforces my belief in adopting from, and
supporting Animal Shelters..

P.P.S. Every 3 months I will be donating 10% of my
online profits to local Animal Shelters.
