Subject: 9 Tips for Staying Healthy While Traveling

Hi Friend,

Are you planning your next vacation?

Few things can ruin a vacation more than sickness.

During our years of travel, all over the world, we have developed strategies to help prevent us from getting sick. Use our practical hygiene tips to help ensure your health while traveling. These few tips will arm you with confidence, and help you enjoy your travels.

9 Tips for Staying Healthy While Traveling:
  1. First, remember that vigilance begins as soon as you leave your home. Viruses and bacteria spread in the public places. If you have a strong constitution, you are one of the lucky ones. Even so, travel can be stressful, so be kind to yourself with rest and good diet.

  2. Get a flu shot before you travel. Review if any other vaccines are recommended when visiting your destination. Visit the CDC website.

  3. Make it a habit to wash your hands with soap and water and wipe down surfaces frequently throughout the day. Wash hands each time you use the bathroom, after every diaper change, before eating and preparing food, and immediately upon returning to your rental after being out and about.

  4. Buy hand sanitizer and use it often.

  5. Wipe down surfaces before you use them with sanitized wipes.

  6. Keep your hands away from your face.

  7. Protect your skin, from both the sun and bug bites.

  8. Hydrate and drink bottled or purified water.

  9. Make sure that the housekeeper has sanitized the kitchen and bathrooms to your satisfaction.

7 Additional Tips for Staying Healthy While Traveling to Sayulita, Mexico:
  1. Make sure the place you stay has a whole house water filtration system. All Dreamer Circle Properties, our vacation rentals in Sayulita, have bottled drinking water and whole house water filtration systems.

  2. Make sure the housekeeper has sanitized the kitchen and bathrooms to your satisfaction. Dreamer Circle staff regularly disinfects all counters, floors, doorknobs and other high-touch areas when they clean.

  3. DO NOT eat food from beach vendors, the back of pickup trucks, or street stands, especially those that sell food out of buckets.

  4. When eating at the beach, we recommend getting lounge chairs in front of Don Pedro's Restaurant and eating their food. Some of our guests also choose to have all their meals prepared by local chefs.

  5. When having a drink at a bar, make sure glasses are being washed with soap, not just being rinsed with water.

  6. Soak all fruits and vegetables with edible skins in disinfectant drops for 15 minutes before eating.

  7. If you do fall ill, for any reason, there are many competent doctors and pharmacies available in Sayulita to help you.
