Hello! Thank you for registering to join us for our clinic in North Bovey on May 21st-22nd - and thanks to Kate Sandel and our hosts the Widdicombes for making this all possible!
We've listed a few important details for you below.
Clinic Venue: - The address for the venue: Higher Langdon Barn, North Bovey, Devon, TQ3 8RR. Please note that sat navs sometimes work and sometimes don't! Please Click here for detailed directions.
- Also please note that mobile phone reception is very limited at the venue.
- It is a small private yard and family home, so let's all be mindful of that.
- It is also in the middle of Dartmoor National Park, with fabulous riding if you want to head out for a hack!
- Access is down narrow, granite lined lanes so you need to be aware of that when travelling. Trailers and 3.5 tonne lorries are fine, but larger lorries are unlikely to get up the final lane to the farm. (Kate can get her 7.5 tonne up there but it is a small one). If you have a larger lorry please get in touch with Kate Sandel (contact details below) to discuss options.
- Accommodation for horses
In terms of livery for horses there are a couple of options .Livery is £10 per night and includes organic haylage grown on the farm. You can either bring your own electric tape, posts and fencer and set up a pen for your horse in one of the fields. There are a couple of pen/stables so if you would like one of these please contact Kate directly as there aren't enough for everyone. There are a couple of day stables you can use when you bring your horses in to get them ready for the clinic. You will need to bring all your own equipment, including bedding if you want one of the pens/stables. If you have a horse who can't be turned out you can use the indoor school to let them stretch their legs or even turn them out in their overnight. Please contact Kate directly about livery options on kate@softandsound.org or 01647 221311 or 07398 139463. Accommodation for people:
Ok, that's it for now! Please let us know (reply to this email or contact Kate (see above) if we missed anything you need.
Looking forward to working together - more soon,
To you and your horse,
Karen Musson and Kate Sandel |
