Construction Update
Our building permit has finished it's latest round of reviews and it has gone from 70 items requiring additional information to 21.  We believe most of the remaining issues will be resolved easily.

Discovery Academy continues to work toward getting their certificate of occupancy, but have been slowed by some supply issues. We know the staff and students are looking forward to enjoying the campus and we continue to affirm their successful opening.
We are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.  We are glad to welcome new friends on Sundays!

Our beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

Love and light, Leddy and all our UCC Family!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - How Far You've Come
Inspired by lyrics to “Look How Far You’ve Come” by Sue Riley:

“Hasn't it been great?... Let's talk about the future. Let’s cool off with the rain.’”

“We’ve come through the desert and now we sit here in the shade. Though we’re not where we were heading, just look how far we’ve come.”

I now see the beauty in the days that have gone by.

Each day, I remind myself to treasure what I have. Look how far I’ve come!
Last Sunday's Shining Words:

“For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength” (Is.30:15, KJV).

In the waltz of life, I let God lead.

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening "Faith Lift" Meditation Service
Wednesdays
7:00 PM
Livestream Only

Prayer is the foundation of the Unity movement and of Unity Church of Clearwater.

The Wednesday evening service features guided meditation, music, silence, and prayer.

Meditation is the process of listening to the “still, small voice” of God within us. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought and includes the release of negative thinking as well as holding in mind statements of spiritual Truth. The contemplative nature of entering into the silence allows people of like mind to share the power of sitting in the silence together.

We invite you to join us! This is an opportunity to raise the consciousness of oneness that is at the core of our Unity teachings.

Let us lift our consciousness to new heights through prayer and meditation, and help heal ourselves and our world!

Let's get together and chat!

Co-president of our Board, Deb Larkin, is hosting a weekly Zoom "Table Talk Thursday" call so we can see each other's faces and hear each other's voices.

Why Table Talk? Well, because that's one thing we miss during this time: sitting around a table in the café and talking together. The Table Talk will last about an hour. Feel free to drop in for a few minutes or spend the whole hour with us.

UCC Board Changes
Trina Anderson, longtime Unity member, was elected to our Board of Directors at last year's annual meeting. As she is lovingly caring for her dear father, she asked to be released from serving at this time.

Former Board Member, Ed Marinacci, has welcomed the Board's appointment to serve out Trina's remaining two years.

We are so grateful that Trina attends when she can and remains with us in prayer consciousness.
Ed grew up on Long Island New York. He moved to the Jersey Shore in the 80's then was transferred to Tampa, FL in 1993 with MetLife. He had a wonderful 30 year career as a space planner/ project manager. Ed became interested in architecture at a young age. In the 1960's his family enjoyed taking Sunday drives to look at model homes. He would take the plans that the model centers provided home and redraw them with new ideas.

Ed retired five years ago and has been enjoying life ever since. His favorite pastimes are hiking, going to car shows, architecture and listening to live music.

Although he is active in Unity of Greenville, North Carolina, his minister there is glad to share him to help us manage the transition into our new Church home later this year.
TEMPLE B'NAI ISRAEL PRESENTS:
"DELI MAN" ZIGGY GRUBER
Saturday, Feb 3
6:00 PM
Temple B'nai Israel

Temple B'nai Israel is thrilled to welcome the "Deli Man," Ziggy Gruber, for a fun and food-filled screening of the documentary Deli Man.

"In his short life, this owner and chef of Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen Restaurant has run three very successful delis. He’s in the third generation in his family to own a deli. And Texas is the third U.S. coast where he’s educated the populace on how life without a great deli is really no life at all.

Part New Yorker (he was born and grew up there), part entertainer (he’s now one of the stars in a nationally-distributed documentary film, Deli Man) and 100% chef (graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in London and training in a three-Michelin star London restaurant), Gruber is larger than life. His menu and drive to make customers happy are even larger than that. Actually, when he’s not in the restaurant making people laugh, the things he’s put on the walls almost always do, and if there’s ever been a time he didn’t make them happy, it’s pretty certain they still left full."

All Are Welcome to attend the screening of the documentary, "Deli Man," in which Ziggy Gruber is prominently featured.  All will enjoy a deli dinner and hear from Ziggy, who will introduce the film and lead a discussion following the movie.

Price is $36 per person.

How You Can Donate
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

Your gifts to Unity Church of Clearwater are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Our life-affirming work is supported by the loving and generous offerings of friends like you.  Please give as your grateful spirit leads you.  You can also support Unity Church of Clearwater by leaving a legacy of prayer and hope in your will or estate plan.  Right now, right where you are, you are blessing this ministry through your loving thoughts and you, also, are blessed.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Healing Thought # 200
"Reach for the highest, but be grateful for how far you’ve come. Be patient with yourself. This is so important. Give yourself the privilege of occasionally missing the mark without self-condemnation.... Falling down is not the important thing. Getting up is the thing that counts" (Eric Butterworth, Unity NYC, ca 1975).
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

"IN GRATITUDE FOR LESSONS IN MY JOURNEY SO FAR, I GIVE THANKS FOR THE WAYS I HAVE GROWN AND CONTINUE TO GROW IN THIS NEW ERA!"

THANK YOU, GOD!
