This Sunday @ UCC: Lesson Title: UR Extra Senses
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “I Am a Gift” by StoweGood:
I tell myself that am a gift, no matter what age, no matter how I look, I am God’s perfect Child.
I am a gift and I promise every day when I look in the mirror I’ll say, I am a gift.
I tell myself that God wants only good for me.
I rise above hurt feelings and give thanks that I am a gift.
I am a precious Child of God, so I make this vow and I say it with love, I am perfect and whole and enough, and I am a gift. |

As always there's plenty to do this Express Saturday. We'll have coffee, donuts and smiles waiting for you :-)
See you Saturday!
If you aren't familiar with Express Saturday, it's our bi-weekly opportunity to come together and make the church shine. We give the building a good cleaning from top to bottom and some folks like to do a little gardening during that time. We also make time to socialize, because maintaining our Church means not only "housekeeping," for also friendly "home-making."
It's a great way to make friends and feel the wonderful satisfaction that comes from working together in the House Built on Love! We also have opportunities to serve for those that prefer to work outside!
Whether you can be with us or not, have a safe, peaceful, and prosperous weekend! |
| | | We're always encouraged to turn our phones off during church. Well, it's a new world and phones in church can be a good thing.
We're asking you to check in on your social media while you're at church, and even though you're here in person you can like and share the live stream on Facebook.
Thanks for helping get the word out about UCC!

| | July Heart of the House - Jim Ivins
|
| For 30 years, Unity choir member Jim Ivins worked for the Bell Telephone System, once called “Ma Bell.” Later a Verizon technician, then a realtor, he retired in 2015 and moved to Florida. Born in Camden, NJ, he was raised in farm country, Laurel Springs and Chews Landing. Drafted during the Vietnam era, Jim opted to join the Navy for four memorable and transformative years.
For more than half of his military duty, Jim was in Morocco, the remainder in Newfoundland where he met and married a fisherman’s daughter, Sylvia White. For 15 months in 1967-69, he served on a clandestine base where communications with ships in the Mediterranean required top secret clearance and a guard of 60 sailors, 70 Marines and 26 German Shepherds. Jim volunteered to go to Vietnam on a river boat, but, because he had married a Canadian, was sent back to Morocco where life was good, and the couple had their own villa and a Triumph Spitfire.

| | | A UCC member just reported that she had cut back on her weekly tithe for a time. She had been anxiously waiting for some expected insurance money, but it seemed as though it would never arrive. The insurance money was eagerly awaited to cover expenses that had been paid out of pocket.
Finally, the UCC member decided to step out on faith and increase the tithe to the original amount. Well, the result was awesome, as the insurance check arrived within a very short time after she committed to resume tithing.
Thank You, God! |

| | | Your living substance!
“God is the source of a mighty stream of substance, and you are a tributary of that stream, a channel of expression. Blessing the substance increases its flow. If your money supply is low or your purse seems empty, take it in your hands and bless it. See it filled with the living substance ready to become manifest. As you prepare your meals bless the food with the thought of spiritual substance. When you dress, bless your garments and realize that you are being constantly clothed with God’s substance. Do not center your thought o yourself, your interests, your gains or losses, but realize the universal nature of substance. The more conscious you become of the presence of the living substance the more it will manifest itself for you and the richer will be the common good of all”
(Charles Fillmore, Cofounder of the Unity Movement in the Foreword of Prosperity, 1936) |
| Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation:
“GOD IS THE MIGHTY UNIVERSAL STREAM OF LIVING SUBSTANCE, BLESSING ALL, AND I AM A TRIBUTARY OF THAT STREAM!”
THANK YOU, GOD! |
