Subject: What's Happening - The Good Life - Weekly Affirmation

A Fond Farewell to/from our Beloved “Good Listener,” the Gracious Diane Podnar!
From Diane:
As I prepare to exit the Sunshine State of my favorite home, it is with a truly heavy heart that I remember and cherish my introduction to Unity Church of Clearwater. It was on a September Sunday of 1998, shortly after moving from Ohio, that I first heard the lovely, welcoming voice of The Reverend Leddy Hammock. I felt, like many others, that she was speaking, personally, to me. Also loved the music and, in short time, came to feel a part of the valued volunteer staff, all individually talented. I pondered, What could I do? It came to pass that there was a niche for me, and so began “Meet Your Volunteers,” which later evolved to “Unity Shooting Stars” and, finally, “The Heart of the House.”

This “Heart of this House” now says goodbye to a column that continued until the Covid interruption and subsequent year of new health challenges. With uncertainty and promise, I am heading to the Lone Star State and nearness to beloved daughters. Please know, each and every one of you whom I have interviewed and published, that your life story enriched my own.

From Leddy:
Beloved Diane, we shall always be connected to you at the heart! The fascinating interviews you gave and so lovingly prepared of our dear members through the years helped us to know one another better and stay close through many seasons of change. We will not say “goodbye” to you, but instead, we say “Godspeed and God bless you and your family in Texas. We will always be with you in Spirit and on Zoom whenever you can join us!
We love you forever! – Your Unity Clearwater Family

This Sunday: The Good Life
Inspired by “Our Source of Life” by Tim Burnaman

“My Source of life is strength and wisdom.

We thank You for helping us to endure and live through everything we’ve lived through.

You brought us here, to this present moment. You’ve given us strength to find our way.

Here, in this present moment, You’ve given us courage for today.  We have courage for today. We live the good life, Oh, so sweet, and You’re with us with every heartbeat.”
We don't have a mask mandate at UCC. However, because UCC is pro-children and pro-families, we are encouraging vaccination for those who are eligible and asking folks to wear masks when near others indoors.

We are pausing our Pre-K childcare and nursery for the time being, in the interest of safety and well-being for all. We will all get through this together.
For now, let's do fist or elbow bumps and Namaste instead of hugs!

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Thanks for the Kind Words
"Unity Clearwater, you and the staff and all of us are touching lives on this property not only in the Church but also in the Peace Cottage. Over the years, many friends and I attended services, classes, and events . . . . UCC is the consciousness of its minister, staff and members . . . . [all] have personally touched so many lives and they, in turn, haved passed the Unity message to others . . . . [a message of] love, acceptance, leadership, openness, authenticity [are] a gift to us all. You are loved and appreciated" Marcia Jackson
"Since I walked into the tent area of Unity Church of Clearwater in 2001, I have felt I was in the right place for me. The music was awesome (which I love) and the minister was real and gave a message that made for wanting to hear more. From 2001 to 2004, while I was still teaching in Louisville, KY, I attended every Sunday that I was in town. I moved here in 2004 and haven't missed too many Sundays since then. Not too many spoke to me to start with. I didn't let that stop me from coming back. I liked the music. I am proud to be a member of such a loving and caring church.

I am proud to know you, but most of all proud of how you stand up for everyone and you are not afraid to speak up for us all. Your message Sunday ["Who's At Your Table," the week before Thanksgiving] should be one that is given by all ministers. I believe that UCC
is going to grow back to having more young families . . . . We already have the best minister[s] and music leaders. Nickie was 'right on' with her message. Thanks for including her. It was perfect. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I am still jumping up and down in my heart . . . .

Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
Dr. Jo (and, of course, Mary)"
Message from Sue about The 12 Powers Club
You are probably wondering why Leddy and I are decked out in matching scarves.

Well, we’ve been invited to be part of a very exciting project spearheaded by Kim-Char Meredith called The 12 Powers Club.

Launched on July 1, this “members only” club is full of content on the 12 powers as created by Unity Cofounder, Charles Fillmore.

Leddy and I have created video segments for each of the 12 women (12 powers interpreted through the Divine Feminine) and I can’t believe how much fun we had doing this!

You are going to love it!  And there’s more, much more!

There are many other guest presenters, music, resources for kids, interviews, etc. all on the themes of an intuitive interpretation of the spiritual faculties of humankind.

If you’re like me, you are still finding your way after this past challenging year and what better way than to Power up! I felt better just creating it, so I can’t wait to view all of the other amazing content.

Best of all, you can choose who to gift back ½ of the membership fee. So, you can become more empowered and benefit Unity Church of Clearwater at the same time!

Don’t wait! Sign up right now here. See you there!
How You Can Donate
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Healing Thought # 87
“You believe in Omnipresent Life . . . . Marvelous have been the manifestations of this Power in my own life when the ‘bringing to pass’ has been left entirely to it. Ask not, then, when, or how, or why. That implies doubt. Only ‘Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him’” (H. Emilie Cady, in the pamphlet, “Trusting and Resting,” 1892).
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

“I BELIEVE IN OMNIPRESENT LIFE AND AS I TRUST AND REST IN THAT LIFE, MY OWN LIFE IS MARVELOUS!
