| | | | Heart of the House - Sherry Dawkins
|
| Long-time member of UCC, Sherry Dawkins, executive assistant at Assurant, a Fortune 500 company in St. Petersburg, was born on Long Island but grew up in the hills of Virginia, swimming in the summers and skating in the winters on a nearby lake. She moved back to Long Island and went to high school there. A member of a musical family, she was active in chorus and chorale and still enjoys singing and playing guitar. Sherry’s father played piano and clarinet by ear; her grandmother, a classical pianist, went to Julliard, and nephew Keir Walton is a popular soloist in the Unity Music Ministry.
Raised Catholic, Sherry says that her spirituality evolved when she was young. She came to Florida in 1993, to Unity shortly thereafter, and has never looked back. She loves the values of the Unity church, and “Leddy has a style beyond compare,” she says, “she makes it look so easy, seamless…and she brings in the audience.”

In latter part of the 1800s a remarkable confluence of people united to change the world of philosophy, art, science and religion. These people, Helena Blavatsky, Henry Olcott, and others gave to the world a timeless set of principles now called Theosophy or the Ageless Wisdom. They united the east and the west both in the printed word and geographically. Their words reverberate to us even today not only in books and articles, but by the changes that have come about in fields of philosophy art, science and religion.
Judith Snow, a long-time student of the Teachings, will introduce us to these people, expound on their teachings and present how their influence continuous to expand our universe even today.
Suggested Donation $5 to $10, Any and all Donations Accepted

The Metaphysical Bible Dictionary explains: “The office of the angels is to guard and guide and direct the natural forces of mind and body, which have in them the future of the whole [person].’
Emma Curtis Hopkins writes: ‘The Angel of His Presence accompanies every [person] . . . . This high leadership is every [person’s] heritage. [We] need not fear dangerous days or vicious circumstances while [we are] aware that [our] angel goes before [us], pleads [our] cause and defends [us].’”
