This Sunday: The Comforter
|
|
Lyrics to “Pour over Me, Holy Spirit” by Leddy Hammock (music by Sue K Riley, “Twelve Women of the Chalice” CD).
“Pour over me Holy Spirit, cleanse my heart and comfort me. Pour over me Holy Spirit, help me know how to let go.
With the setting of the sun, I now let drift away ev'rything and ev'ryone that can no longer stay. In the scented ev'ning air, Let living waters flow. Bathe my many thoughts and cares. I release and I let go.
Baptism of tears, clear my vision. Bathe me in peace, reveal my mission.
Pour over me Holy Spirit, cleanse my heart and comfort me. Pour over me Holy Spirit, help me know how to let go. |

We don't have a mask mandate at UCC. However, because UCC is pro-children and pro-families, we are encouraging vaccination for those who are eligible and asking folks to wear masks when near others indoors.
We are pausing our Pre-K childcare and nursery for the time being, in the interest of safety and well-being for all. We will all get through this together. |
|
For now, let's do fist or elbow bumps and Namaste instead of hugs! |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Let's get together and chat!
Board Member & President of Hospitality, Deb Larkin is hosting a weekly Zoom "Table Talk Thursday" call so we can see each others faces and hear each others voices.
Why Table Talk? Well, because that's one thing we miss during this time: sitting around a table in the café and talking together. The Table Talk will last about an hour. Feel free to drop in for a few minutes or spend the whole hour with us.

Inspire Equine Therapy Program, which is a nonprofit organization will be having their annual Boot Scootin Barn Dance on November 19th, and we are in need of anyone who would like to volunteer a little time for decorating. The entire event will be held outside in the arena, so we will be decorating both the arena and the grounds. It’s a fall theme and we have plenty of decorations just need hands who love to decorate. The dates are November 15th and 16th, with two time slots both days to choose from 8:30 –Noon and 1:00 to 3:30 pm.
Anyone from church that is interested in helping out, the contact number is: (727) 348-7104.
Plus, if anyone is interested in volunteering on Saturdays we need horse handlers and sidewalkers. The horse handlers need to have experience with horses, but not the sidewalkers. A sidewalker walks beside of the horse and makes sure the participant is safely in their saddle at all times. The win win with this is you get to spend time with handicapped individuals and horses at the same time, and it’s outside. |

Message from Sue about The 12 Powers Club
|
|
You are probably wondering why Leddy and I are decked out in matching scarves.
Well, we’ve been invited to be part of a very exciting project spearheaded by Kim-Char Meredith called The 12 Powers Club.
Launched on July 1, this “members only” club is full of content on the 12 powers as created by Unity Cofounder, Charles Fillmore.
Leddy and I have created video segments for each of the 12 women (12 powers interpreted through the Divine Feminine) and I can’t believe how much fun we had doing this!
You are going to love it! And there’s more, much more!
There are many other guest presenters, music, resources for kids, interviews, etc. all on the themes of an intuitive interpretation of the spiritual faculties of humankind.
If you’re like me, you are still finding your way after this past challenging year and what better way than to Power up! I felt better just creating it, so I can’t wait to view all of the other amazing content.
Best of all, you can choose who to gift back ½ of the membership fee. So, you can become more empowered and benefit Unity Church of Clearwater at the same time!

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

UCC Contributes Monthly to Feeding Tampa Bay
|
|
UCC continues to contribute to FeedingTampaBay.org. They have doubled their weekly meals distributed from 1 million meals to 2 million, establishing six weekly mega pantries serving nearly 10,000 families each week and converting their mobile pantries to a drive-thru model for increased distribution and safety. Message from "Rosie" on the organization's site: "I'm a full time caregiver to my husband, . . . . The food provided by Feeding Tampa Bay has helped us enormously. The meals are well balanced . . . and taste great! We really appreciate the help during this time." |

“The Comforter is spiritual understanding, the realization of [our] inherent God character. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the inner presence, are all synonymous terms. When we have taken the external steps toward a renewed consciousness, we begin to feel that we are not left alone in our effort to behold and express ourselves spiritually. We feel that we are being companioned, guarded, and guided by the light of love, being taught in truth through feeling and through thoughts that were formerly beyond us. This teaching, this light, this love, comes from within. Jesus called it the Comforter because it is soothing, strengthening, something we can depend on” (Metaphysical Bible Dictionary). |
|
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:
“I AM COMPANIONED, GUARDED, AND GUIDED BY THE LIGHT OF LOVE THAT IS THE COMFORTER, THE WHOLE SPIRIT OF GOD, EVER PRESENT IN THE MIDST OF ME.”
THANK YOU, GOD! |
