Lesson Title: Sweeping My Side of the Street
|
|
| Lyrics to “Sweeping Up My Own Side of the Street” by Sue Riley and Melinda Wood Allen
I’m sweeping up my own side of the street, clearing out the clutter, pulling up the weeds, finding out it’s quite enough just taking care of my own stuff, sweeping up my own side of the street tending my own garden every day.
Taking time to stop and smell the roses on the way, planting what I want to see, pruning what’s not serving me, tending my own garden every day.
I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Every step I take just moves me closer to my dreams.
Your grass might be a brighter green, That’s for you, not for me, I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
Not gonna be the one to cast a stone. Won’t point a finger at your faults, got plenty of my own, ‘Cause, when I toss that judgment thing it comes back like a boomerang.
I’m sweeping up my own side of the street, clearing out the clutter, pulling up the weeds, finding out it’s quite enough just taking care of my own stuff, sweeping up my own side of the street. |

| | | A Keepsake Bible for Youth Ministry Students!
As soon as we have at least three school age Unity students who have attended Youth Ministry classes here at least ten times during twelve months, their teachers here will be happy to plan with their parent(s) a Sunday in which to plan to include a short ceremony during the beginning of our Sunday Worship service to honor these excellent and dedicated students with a brand new, personal keepsake New American Bible, as a lovegift from Unity Church of Clearwater, inscribed with their names and the date of the award, for their lifelong use and remembrance.
Please see our Youth Ministry Coordinator and Certified Truth Teacher, Cynthia Mackey for more information. |

| | | Thanks for the Kind Words!
|
| Leddy,
Lunch today was great. The entire day was such a treat with the service, the lunch, and Daniel’s concert! I listened to the Water CD on the way home and stopped at the beach to listen to the rest. Now I want to get 3 more copies for various people.
Thought you would enjoy the pic of Dennis sitting at the kids table.
Thanks for all you do. What a wonderfully inspirational day.
Happy New Year!
Love, Sherry Dawkins |
| | | | | Our Daniel Nahmod Weekend was a great success and we've heard only positive comments about lunch from the the food truck.
The food truck was a terrific community builder for the church, so we'll be planning other fun after church lunch experiences in the near future.
Church = Community

| | | “ . . . In the bringing forth of Jesus, a promise was first made to Mary, and Joseph was assured that the child was the offspring of the Holy Spirit. This represents a still higher step in the work of faith [than the] bringing forth of John the Baptist . . . the intellectual perception of Truth. The intellect grasps Truth first. The next step is the bringing forth of substance and life in the subconsciousness. When we have given ourselves entirely to Spirit, we may do things without knowing exactly why. That is because faith is at work in us, and even if we do not know the law and cannot explain faith to the outer consciousness, it continues to do its perfect work and eventually brings forth the demonstration.”
(Charles Fillmore Cofounder of the Unity Movement in Prosperity [1936] -- Lesson Three: Faith in the Invisible Substance, the Key to Demonstration). |
| Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation:
“I GIVE MYSELF ENTIRELY TO SPIRIT. EVEN WHEN I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW IT IS HAPPENING, FAITH IS DOING ITS PERFECT WORK IN ME AND BRINGING FORTH THE DEMONSTRATION.”
THANK YOU, GOD! |
