This Sunday @ UCC: Lesson Title: Start from Where U R
|
|
Inspired by lyrics by Lance Hoppen (of the band, “Orleans”), to “Start from where You Are.”
“There’s no shame in crying, letting go of what’s been done – The debt, the loss, the past mistakes, in time you’ll overcome.
Though the messages of childhood left their mark upon your mind. When you bring them to awareness, you can leave them all behind.”
“You don’t have to do this on your own. And as you begin to weed your garden, and water your new seeds, The life you knew would grow into what you’re willing to believe.”
“Start from where you are, one step at a time, It’s amazing how, right here, right now, the Universe survives.
Start from where you are just a dream within your heart. This moment is your present, so start from where you are. This moment is your present, it’s ready to open when you are.” |

| | | | Heart of the House - Maggie Cook
|
| On June 17 (Father’s Day), we are honored to present guest speaker,
entrepreneur, philanthropist, and ordained Unity Minister, Maria
Magdalena De la Cruz Cook Garcia (Maggie). Maggie is the creator of
Maggie’s Award winning All-Natural Fresh Salsa’s and Dips, a food
manufacturing company that distributes its organic products across the
country. Maggie was born and raised in an orphanage in the mountains of
central Mexico along with seven biological siblings. Her parents cared
for over two hundred abandoned and abused children, legally adopting
over sixty children over time.
Maggie and her siblings were raised in poverty, often struggling for
basic necessities of life, including shelter, food, clothing, shoes, and
medical care. Many of the children had endured terrible abuse before
coming to the orphanage. In her book, Mindful Success – How to Use Your Mind to Transform Your Life: from Orphanage to Millionaire,
Maggie tells of personal demonstration of the prosperity principles she
learned and applied in her life that made her a success, journeying
from being raised in poverty in Mexico to being homeless in winter in
the streets of America, to starting a business with a gift of $800 from a
stranger, to becoming a multimillion dollar success. Her life story is
one of meeting both high hopes and deep disappointments. Against all
seeming odds, she learned to speak and write English; she earned three
academic scholarship, as well as scholarships in three sports:
basketball, soccer, and rowing! Maggie graduated with medals,
championships, and awards, plus a degree in interior design from the
University of Charleston in 2002. Then, she was ordained as a Unity
Minister at Renaissance Unity in Warren, Michigan and has settled in
Clearwater with her husband, Owen Cook.

| | | THE PROSPERITY MIRACLE AT THE WEDDING AT CANA
“After the servants filled the water jars to the brim, Jesus instructed them, ‘Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the feast’–in other words, ‘be definite at this point about your desired prosperity.’ We often use general affirmations for prosperity, but seemingly fear to be definite . Yet, unless we do at times become very definite in our thinking about the specific prosperity we desire, we do not draw it out of the realm of universal substance in any definite form. Often our lack of demonstration is caused by our failure to be definite in our thoughts, words, decrees, and actions.”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation: I AM FEARLESS AND DEFINITE ABOUT THE SPECIFIC PROSPERITY DEMONSTRATION THAT I DESIRE, SO MY DEMONSTRATIONS ARE ASSURED. THANK YOU, GOD!
